The Royal Oak Pub in Staveley, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, is a beautiful pub with Real Ales, a great winelist, fantastic food and a wealth of character. In the bar we have a working central brick fireplace, wooden beams, wood panelling and two large bay window seating areas. There is a restaurant should you wish to try our delicious food - please see the food section of our site to see a sample menu. Outside we have a beer garden at the front and another behind the pub, just before our caravan park.
Where would you rather be right now?

Do you know the story of Charles II hiding in an oak tree from Oliver Cromwell's army? The Royal Oak was a wonderful hiding place for Charles II and we hope you will find similar sanctuary in our Free House.
Why not come and stay with us for a few days in our own caravan park?
